GeneraTe statement in response to the actions of the President of the United States of America

GeneraTe is appalled by the action of the President of the United States of America, in denying the existence of Transgender, Non-Binary and Intersex people, despite the evidence that they both exist, and that their existence has been part of the human condition since humanity evolved. We understand that this point of view, amplified by the social media platforms, will impact the well-being of our members. We urge you to remember that we are here to support you and your families.

To show that we can make a difference, we can announce that (in conjunction with York Pride and the York LGBT Forum) there will be a TransPride event in York in 2025, as part of the annual Pride event on 7th June. Plans are being made and more details will be released in the coming weeks.

We hope that this good news will shine some light on this dark day for our community.

We send our love, and stand shoulder to shoulder with all Transgender, Non-Binary and Intersex Americans. Today there is one less day of this Presidency than there was yesterday!
